I think the father needs to be put in jail forever. Child neglect is awful. He needs to go to jail and get slapped around by the prisoners. The fathers actions show he is a very controlling person. It shows that he dosent like to not be in control. Yes, this wouldve been acceptable. Thats how the teachers disiplined the kids when they acted up.
